Part 35: So long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, goodbye
So long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, goodbye
Time to get ourselves out of the Fade. We do, but with one (possible) casualty. This is almost a no-brainer. Especially if you have the default Warden, Stroud. He's only appeared for a total of 5 minutes in previous games, but with Alistair or Loghain it can be a bit trickier. Also leaving Hawke bums the hell out of Varric and who wants to do that? You do get the opportunity to give him a hug if you go that route, though.
And at the thread's wishes we tell the Wardens to This ticks off most everyone except Solas and Cassandra. If you take this option it can be a good idea to reserve some of the personal fetch quests to repair approval, especially if you're trying to romance someone (unless that someone is Solas or Cass). You can also kick Blackwall out with the Wardens. If you choose to let them stay then they become available for war table missions. Which you can also use to basically wipe them out by repeatedly sending them after darkspawn. The first time I sent them away I figured I'd just send them off until Cory was dealt with but at this point it seems to be a permanent thing. We'll hope there's no blight in the meantime. Then we're extra shitty by narcing them out to other nations. Well, TBH they've been complete fucking idiots since HoF left to do her own thing so we'll leave them to rot in Weisshaupt for now.
Sending them away may seem like a dumb idea, but we'll find out some things later on that indicate this isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's also one of those decisions where we don't see consequences for either choice (at least not in the main game; it may come up in DLC). For now we're back in the real world and Cory loses his demon army. Mission accomplished
